Indications

Dosage & Administration
- 320 mg once daily for 5 days for acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
- 320 mg tablet daily for 5 days for community-acquired pneumonia
- 320 mg tablet daily for 7 days for multi-drug resistant bacterial infections
Interaction
- Reduced absorption with antacids and iron salts
- No significant interactions with omeprazole, theophylline, digoxin, warfarin, oral contraceptives
- Dosage adjustment for sucralfate administration
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to gemifloxacin and other quinolones
- History of tendon damage with fluoroquinolones
- Not for use in children under 18 years of age
