Formulation

Dosage Range

  • 40-80 mg daily
  • Up to 320 mg daily when needed
  • One to four tablets daily (maximum 120 mg)

Usage Instructions

  • Take before a meal
  • Take with a glass of water
  • Swallow whole, do not crush or chew
  • Always eat a meal after taking the tablet(s)

Combination Therapy

  • May be used in combination therapy with metformin, alpha-glucosidase inhibitor, thiazolidinedione, dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor, GLP-1 receptor agonist, or insulin

Overdose Management

  • Contact a doctor or hospital immediately
  • Symptoms include hypoglycemia
  • Do not give unconscious patients food or drink

  • May impair ability to concentrate or react if blood sugar levels are too low or high
