Indications

Pharmacology
- Proton pump inhibitor
- Suppression of gastric acid secretion
- Inhibition of H+/K+-ATPase
- Enteric-coated pellet formulation
- Peak plasma levels at approximately 1.5 hours
- Extensive metabolism in the liver
- Low plasma elimination half-life
Dosage
- Oral Dosage Form:
- Healing of Erosive Esophagitis: 20 mg or 40 mg Once Daily for 4-8 Weeks
- Maintenance of Healing of Erosive Esophagitis: 20 mg Once Daily
- Symptomatic GERD: 20 mg Once Daily for 4 Weeks
- Helicobacter Pylori Eradication: 40 mg Once Daily for 10 Days
- IV Injection or IV Infusion:
- Adult Patients (≥18 years): 20 mg or 40 mg once daily
- Pediatric Patients: 10 mg or 20 mg once daily based on body weight
- Risk reduction of rebleeding of Gastric or Duodenal Ulcers: 80 mg initial dose followed by continuous infusion
Administration
- Tablet or capsule should be swallowed whole and taken one hour before a meal
- Oral Suspension should be taken with water and consumed immediately
- IV Injection should be administered intravenously over a period of at least 3 minutes
Interaction
- Extensive metabolism in the liver
- Potential interference with CYP2C19
- No clinically significant interactions with specific drugs

- Known hypersensitivity to any of the formulation
