Indications
- Symptomatic relief of burning

Composition
- Active Substances:
- Glycerin BP 2 mg
- Hypromellose USP 3.6 mg
- Polyethylene Glycol 400 BP 10 mg
- Excipients:
- Ascorbic acid
- Boric acid
- Sodium tetraborate
- Disodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate
- Sodium citrate
- Sodium lactate solution
- Dextrose
- Glycine
- Sodium chloride
- Potassium chloride
- Magnesium chloride hexahydrate
- Sodium hydroxide
- Water for injections
- Preservative: Benzalkonium Chloride BP 0.2 mg
Pharmacology
- Almost colorless, clear aqueous lubricant
- Spreads rapidly over the conjunctiva and cornea
- Forms a lubricating and protective film
- Polyethylene Glycol 400 increases stability of tear film
- Hypromellose helps tear film to attach with the ocular surface
- Glycerin restores moisture to the dry eye
- Electrolytes maintain good corneal epithelial surface
Dosage & Administration
- Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 3 times daily or as needed
Interaction
- Interval of at least 5 minutes between each application if several medicines are to be administered to the eye
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the product
Side Effects
- Mild, transient burning or sticky sensation
- Occasional irritation or hypersensitivity reactions
- Occasional blurred vision after application
Pregnancy & Lactation
- No experience regarding safety in human pregnancy or lactation
- Consult a doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding
Precautions & Warnings
- Remove contact lenses before using Visitear
- Do not use if solution changes color or becomes cloudy
- Avoid touching the tip of container to any surface to avoid contamination
- Replace cap after each use
