Indications

Symptomatic relief of burning, irritation, and discomfort due to dryness of the eye, treatment of keratoconjunctivitis sicca

Composition

• Active Substances:
  • Glycerin BP 2 mg
  • Hypromellose USP 3.6 mg
  • Polyethylene Glycol 400 BP 10 mg
• Excipients: Ascorbic acid, boric acid, sodium tetraborate, disodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium citrate, sodium lactate solution, dextrose, glycine, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride hexahydrate, sodium hydroxide, water for injections
• Preservative: Benzalkonium Chloride BP 0.2 mg

Pharmacology

Colorless, clear aqueous lubricant sterile ocular solution, spreads rapidly over the conjunctiva and cornea, forming a lubricating and protective film, increases the stability of tear film, helps the tear film to attach with the ocular surface, restores moisture to the dry eye, maintains good corneal epithelial surface

Dosage & Administration

Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 3 times daily or as needed

Interaction

Interval of at least 5 minutes between each application if several medicines are to be administered to the eye

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the product

Side Effects

Mild, transient burning or sticky sensation, occasional irritation or hypersensitivity reactions, blurred vision after application

Pregnancy & Lactation

No experience regarding the safety of this eye drops in human pregnancy or lactation, consult a doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding

Precautions & Warnings

Remove contact lenses before using Lubrex, do not use if solution changes color or becomes cloudy, don't touch tip of container to any surface to avoid contamination, replace cap after each use
