Recommended dosage
- Tablet: 10 mg every 4-6 hours for short-term use (up to 7 days)
- Injection:
- Single dose treatment:
- IM dosing:
- 60 mg for patients <65 years of age
- 30 mg for patients >65 years of age, renally impaired, or <50 kg of body weight
- IV dosing:
- 30 mg for patients <65 years of age
- 15 mg for patients >65 years of age, renally impaired, or <50 kg of body weight
- Age 2 16 years:
- IM dosing: 1 mg/kg up to a max of 30 mg
- IV dosing: 0.5 mg/kg up to a max of 15 mg
- IM dosing:
- Multiple dose treatment:
- 30 mg every 6 hours for patients <65 years of age, max daily dose 120 mg
- 15 mg every 6 hours for patients >65 years of age, renally impaired, or <50 kg, max daily dose 60 mg
- Conversion to oral therapy: Total combined daily dose of ketorolac (oral + parenteral) should not exceed 120 mg in younger adult patients or 60 mg in elderly patients. Oral dosing should not exceed 40 mg
- Single dose treatment:
- Eye drops: 1 drop in each eye 4 times daily

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Ketorolac or other NSAIDs
- Children under 16 years of age
- Prophylactic analgesic before surgery
