Indications
- Treatment of allergic conjunctivitis
- Treatment of vernal kerato-conjunctivitis
- Treatment of blepharitis
Pharmacology
- Anti-allergic substance
- Histamine (H1) receptor blocking property
- Inhibition of mediator release
Dosage & Administration
- 1 drop in affected eye(s) twice daily for adults and children 3 years and older
- Consultation required for children under 3 years of age
Interaction
- Interval of at least 5 minutes required if used concomitantly with other eye medications
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Ketotifen or any of the components

- Burning sensation
- Stinging sensation
- Punctate corneal epithelial erosion
- Blurred vision upon drug instillation
- Dry eyes
- Eyelid disorder
- Conjunctivitis
- Eye pain
- Photophobia
- Subconjunctival hemorrhage
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Caution required in pregnant women
- Caution required in lactating women
- Unlikely to produce detectable quantities in breast milk after topical administration
Precautions & Warnings
- Contains benzalkonium chloride as a preservative
- Should not be instilled while wearing soft contact lenses
- Lenses should be removed before application
Overdose Effects
- No reported cases of overdose
- Oral ingestion equivalent to 60% of recommended oral daily dose for a 3-year-old
- No serious signs or symptoms reported after oral ingestion of up to 20 mg
