Indications
- Prophylactic treatment of bronchial asthma
- Symptomatic treatment of allergic conditions including rhinitis and conjunctivitis
- Alleviating complications of itching, pain, and tenderness associated with neurofibroma
- Symptomatic treatment of allergies such as hayfever and urticaria
Pharmacology

Dosage & Administration
- Adult dose: 1 mg twice daily with food
- Adult severe cases dose: 2 mg twice daily
- Children above 3 years dose: 1 mg twice daily with food
- Initial treatment for easily sedated patients: 0.5 to 1 mg at night
Interaction
- Potentiate effects of sedatives, hypnotics, antihistamines, and alcohols
- Reversible fall in platelet count with oral antidiabetic agents
Contraindications
- Avoid concomitant use with oral antidiabetic agents
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Precautions & Warnings
- Continue previous treatment for a minimum of two weeks after starting Ketofimed

- Avoid alcoholic drinks
- Potentiate effects of sedatives, hypnotics, antihistamines, and alcohol
