Description

Pharmacology

- Produces Low Molecular Weight Organic Acids

Dosage & Administration
- Adult Dosage: 3-6 tea-spoons daily for chronic constipation
- Children Dosage: 3 tea-spoons daily for chronic constipation
- Infants Dosage: 1-2 tea-spoons daily for chronic constipation
- Adult Dosage: 1-2 tea-spoons daily for damaged intestinal flora
- Children Dosage: 1 tea-spoon daily for damaged intestinal flora
- Maximum Dosage for Hyper-ammoniemia in hepatopathy: 18-30 tea-spoons daily
Interaction
- No significant drug interactions with Lactomose
- Potassium deficiency may intensify glycosidic effect of cardiac glycosides
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to galactose and lactose
- Galactose-free diet
- Gastro-cardial symptom complex
- Suspected intestinal obstruction
Side Effects
- Flatulence
- Cramp
- Abdominal discomfort at the beginning of treatment
- Diarrhoea in case of overdose
- Loss of electrolytes, primarily potassium in abuse
