Indications
- Treatment of roundworm, hookworm, pinworm, whipworm, threadworm infections
Pharmacology
- Paralysing susceptible intestinal worms
- Enhancing cellular immune responses
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended doses for different age groups
- Can be administered after a light meal
- Additional dose for severe hookworm infection
Interaction
- May increase phenytoin toxicity
- Increases ivermectin bioavailability
- Decreases albendazole bioavailability
- Alcohol causes disulfiram-like reaction
Contraindications
- No absolute contra-indication to the use of Levamisole
