Pharmacology

Proton pump inhibitor that suppresses the final step in gastric acid production by binding to the H+/K+ATPase enzyme system

Dosage & Administration

Dosage varies for different conditions like benign gastric ulcer, GERD, duodenal ulcer, prophylaxis of NSAID-associated gastric or duodenal ulcer, and Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
Doses for IV injection for duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer, and prevention of rebleeding in peptic ulcer

Contraindications

Patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formulation
