Indications
- Bacterial infections

Pharmacology
- Bacterial gyrase inhibitor
- Effective against gram positive and gram negative bacteria
- Interferes with bacterial DNA processes
- Low acute toxicity
Dosage
- 2-3 times daily instillation
- 1 drop into lower conjunctival sac
- Initial treatment application more frequent
- Duration of treatment: 7 to 9 days
Administration
- May be taken with or without food
Interaction
- Avoid ophthalmic preparations containing heavy metals
- Bacteriostatic ophthalmic antibiotics should not be used concomitantly
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient
- Hypersensitivity to excipients or quinolones
- Risk of secondary fungal infections or growth of non-susceptible bacteria with long-term use

- Slight and transient burning
- Phototoxicity and photosensitization possible
- Allergic reactions reported after systemic use
