Dosage and administration

Contraindications

  • Contraindicated in most viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva
  • Contraindicated in mycobacterial infection of the eye and fungal diseases
  • Contraindicated in individuals with known or suspected hypersensitivity

  • Elevated intraocular pressure
  • Visual acuity and field defects
  • Secondary ocular infection
  • Posterior subcapsular cataract formation
  • Adverse reactions occurring in 5%-15% of patients

Pregnancy and lactation

Precautions and warnings

  • Re-evaluation if signs and symptoms fail to improve after two days
  • Intraocular pressure monitoring if used for 10 days or longer
  • Consider fungus invasion in persistent corneal ulceration
  • Consult a physician if redness or itching becomes aggravated
