Indications for Use
- Steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions
- Allergic conjunctivitis
- Acne rosacea
- Superficial punctate keratitis
- Herpes zoster keratitis
- Iritis
- Cyclitis
- Chronic anterior uveitis
- Corneal injury from chemical, radiation or thermal burns
- Post-operative inflammation following ocular surgery
Pharmacological Action
- Loteprednol induction of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins
- Inhibition of prostaglandins and leukotrienes biosynthesis
- Tobramycin bactericidal activity
- Inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis
Dosage and Administration
- Shake well before use
- Apply one drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s)
- Every four to six hours dosing
- Possible increase to every one to two hours for 24 to 48 hours
Interaction with Other Medications
- Not detected in plasma following topical administration
- Not expected to affect the pharmacokinetics of systemically administered medicinal products
Contraindications
- Viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva
- Known or suspected hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
- Hypersensitivity to other corticosteroids

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
- Use during pregnancy only if potential benefit justifies potential risk to the fetus
- Caution during lactation
Precautions and Warnings
- For ophthalmic use only
- Monitor intraocular pressure if used for 10 days or longer
- Risk of fungal infections of the cornea with prolonged use
- Risk of overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms with prolonged use
- Possible cross-sensitivity to other aminoglycoside antibiotics
Use in Pediatric Patients
- Safety and effectiveness not established in pediatric patients
