Composition

• Aluminium Hydroxide
• Magnesium Hydroxide
• Dried Aluminium Hydroxide Gel (Al2O3 47%, minimum): 250 mg
• Magnesium Hydroxide BP: 400 mg
• Aluminium Oxide (Equivalent amount of Aluminium Hydroxide Gel USP): 175 mg
• Magnesium Hydroxide (Equivalent amount of Magnesium Hydroxide Paste USP): 225 mg

Pharmacology

• Non-systemic antacids
• Effective and palatable
• No acid rebound
• No constipating or cathartic effects
• Symptomatic relief of hyperacidity
• High neutralizing power of Aluminium Hydroxide gel
• Sustained acid neutralizing property of Magnesium Hydroxide

Dosage & Administration

• Tablet: Two tablets 1-3 hours after meal and at bed time or as directed by the physician
• Suspension: 2 teaspoonful 1-3 hours after meal and at bed time or as directed by the physician

Interaction

• Inhibition of absorption of specific drugs

Contraindications

• Hypophosphataemia
• Alkalosis
• Hypermagnesaemia
• Abdominal distention due to partial or complete intestinal obstruction

Side Effects

• Alkaluria
• Predisposition to nephrolithiasis

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Precaution advised in the first trimester of pregnancy

Precautions & Warnings

• Reduction in absorption of tetracycline when given concomitantly
