Dosage & Administration

- Children dosage: Varies based on age and condition
- Laxative use: Requires a full glass of water
- Antacid use: Up to 4 times daily with water
Interaction
- Decreased absorption of other drugs
- Interactions with digoxin, mycophenolate, phosphate supplements, tetracycline antibiotics, certain azole antifungals, and quinolone antibiotics
Contraindications
- Should not be administered where use of laxative is contraindicated
- Long term treatment contraindicated in patients with renal failure
Side Effects
- May cause diarrhea
