Description
Meenazole 400 mg Tablet is an antibiotic medication used for the treatment and prevention of viral, bacterial, and parasitic infections. The therapeutic class of this medicine includes amoebicides, anti-diarrhoeal, and antiprotozoal agents. It is available in tablet, suspension, vaginal gel, suppository, and intravenous infusion forms. Contraindications
Meenazole is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Metronidazole or other Nitroimidazole derivatives.

- HepaticImpairment: Meenazole should be administered with caution to patients with hepatic encephalopathy. The daily dosage should be reduced in patients with advanced hepatic insufficiency.
- RenalImpairment: No routine adjustment in the dosage of Meenazole is needed in patients with renal failure undergoing intermittent peritoneal dialysis or continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis.
OverdoseEffects
Symptomatic and supportive treatment should be instituted in case of suspected massive overdosages.
