Indications
- Open angle glaucoma
- Secondary glaucoma

Pharmacology
- Carbonic anhydrase inhibitor
- Decreases secretion of aqueous humor
- Lowers intraocular pressure
- Retards abnormal paroxysmal discharge in epilepsy
Dosage & Administration
- Initial adult dose: 250 mg 4 times daily
- Adjustable dosage for adults
- Children's dosage: ½ to 2 tablets in divided doses
- Intraocular pressure: 1 tablet 6 hourly
Contraindications
- Marked kidney and liver diseases
- Sodium and potassium blood serum level decrease
- Chronic noncongestive angle closure glaucoma
