Indications

Pharmacology

  • Immediate release Esomeprazole Magnesium layer

Dosage

  • Use lowest effective dose
  • Tablet dosage for different conditions and age groups

Administration

  • Take 30 minutes before meals
  • Do not split, chew, crush or dissolve the tablet

Interaction

  • Reduced antihypertensive effect with NSAIDs
  • Increased bleeding risk with warfarin
  • Interference with drug absorption by esomeprazole

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to tablet components
  • Asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type reactions to aspirin or NSAIDs
  • Use during the peri-operative period of CABG surgery
