Indications
- Treatment of diarrhea caused by Cryptosporidium parvum
- Giardia lamblia
- Entamoeba histolytica
Pharmacology
- Synthetic antiprotozoal agent for oral administration
- Interference with Pyruvate Ferredoxin Oxido Reductase (PFOR) enzyme-dependent electron transfer reaction
- Inhibiting the growth of sporozoites and oocyst of Cryptosporidium parvum and trophozoites of Giardia lamblia
