Dosage & Administration
- Extended release tablet: Recommended dose - one 200 mg tablet daily for adults
- Film coated tablet: Recommended dose - 100 mg, twice daily for adults
Interaction
- No significant drug interactions observed
- Close monitoring required when used with specific medications
- May increase plasma concentration of lithium and digoxin
- May interact with diuretics
- May enhance the activity of anticoagulants
- May increase the plasma level of methotrexate
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to it
- Contraindicated in patients in whom aspirin or NSAIDs precipitate attacks of asthma
