Indications
- Adjunct to diet for reducing very high triglyceride levels
- Adjunct in secondary prevention of myocardial infarction
- Reduction of joint inflammation associated with mild arthritis
- Addressing mood disorders and impulse control
- Addressing age-related macular degeneration
Composition
- Omega-3-Acid Ethyl Esters BP 1000 mg
- Eicosapentaenoic Acid BP 80 mg
- Docosahexaenoic Acid BP 120 mg
Pharmacology
- Reduction of triglyceride production by the liver
- Inhibition of acyl-CoA: 1,2-diacylglycerol acyltransferase
- Increasing paroxysmal beta-oxidation
- Inhibition of fatty acids release
- Increase in triglyceride clearance
Dosage & Administration
- Different dosages for hypertriglyceridaemia, myocardial infarction patients, joint inflammation, mood disorders & age-related macular degeneration
- Can be taken with food
Interaction
- Compatibility with warfarin
- Check prothrombin time when combined with warfarin
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any component of the medication

Precautions & Warnings
- Moderate increase in bleeding time
- Increased bleeding time in high-risk patients
- Not recommended for children
- Monitoring coagulation factors
- Monitoring ASAT and ALAT levels
- Not indicated in exogenous hypertriglyceridaemia
- Limited experience in secondary endogenous hypertriglyceridaemia
- No experience in hypertriglyceridaemia in combination with fibrates
