Mode of Action

Dosage
- 8 mg tablet/orodispersible tablet for adults and pediatric patients
- 4 mg orodispersible tablet for adults and pediatric patients
- Injection for adults and pediatric patients
- Different dosages for highly emetogenic and moderate emetogenic cancer chemotherapy
Administration Instructions
- Orally dissolving film designed to be applied on top of the tongue
- No water required for dissolution or swallowing
- Dissolves within 20 seconds and swallowed with saliva
Interaction
Metabolized by hepatic cytochrome P-450 drug-metabolizing enzymes
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the drug or any of its components
- Concomitant use of apomorphine

Pregnancy & Lactation
Carcinogenic effects not seen in animal studies, caution advised for nursing women
Precautions & Warnings
- Hypersensitivity reactions reported
- Not to be used instead of nasogastric suction
- May mask a progressive ileus and/or gastric distension
Use in Special Populations
- Dosage recommendation same as for general population for patients with impaired renal function
- Recommendations for dosage in patients with impaired hepatic function
- Little information available for patients 4 years of age or younger
- No dosage adjustment needed in patients over the age of 65
