Indications
- Replacement of fluid and electrolyte loss due to acute diarrhea
- Treatment of vomiting
- Management of dehydration
- Use in conditions of fluid loss or lack of intake in patients of all age groups
Composition
- Each sachet contains sodium chloride, potassium chloride, trisodium citrate dihydrate, and glucose anhydrous
Mode of Action
- Composed of anhydrous glucose, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, and sodium citrate
- Single formulation to treat or prevent dehydration from diarrhea of any etiology
- Prevents acidosis due to electrolyte imbalance
Dosage
- Daily dose equivalent to patients' fluid requirement for maintenance and replenishment of losses
- Specific dosages for different age groups
Administration
- Disperse the full contents of the sachet in 500 mL of pure drinking water
- Do not mix with hot water or heat the prepared solution
- Discard the unused prepared oral saline after 12 hours of preparation

Precautions & Warnings
- Supplementation with parenteral fluids may be necessary for depressed renal function, severe continuing diarrhea, or other critical fluid losses
