Indications
- Acute and delayed nausea and vomiting
- Uncontrolled nausea and vomiting
- Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV)

Pharmacology
- 5-HT3 receptor antagonist
- Strong binding affinity for 5-HT3 receptor
- Little or no affinity for other receptors
- Inhibition of serotonin release
- Influence on emetic response
- Metabolism via kidney and liver enzymes
- Longer half-life
Dosage & Administration
- Usual adult tablet dosage: 0.5 mg daily
- Usual adult IV dosage: 0.075 mg over 10 seconds
- Specific dosages for chemotherapy and radiotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting
- Special dosage for children (1 month to 17 years) based on body weight
