Indications

Acute and delayed nausea and vomiting

5-HT3 receptor antagonist

Inhibition of serotonin actions

Dosage & Administration

Adult tablet dosage: 0.5 mg daily
Adult IV dosage: 0.075 mg over 10 seconds
Administered prior to chemotherapy or radiotherapy
Children dosage: 20 mcg/kg body weight, maximum 1.5 mg

Interaction

Safe administration with corticosteroids, analgesics, antiemetics, antinauseants, antispasmodics, and anticholinergic agents
No significant pharmacokinetic interactions with metoclopramide
Low potential for clinically significant drug interactions

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug or any of its components
