Description

  • Indicated for fever, common cold, influenza, headache, toothache, earache, bodyache, myalgia, neuralgia, dysmenorrhoea, sprains, colic pain, back pain, post-operative pain, postpartum pain, inflammatory pain, post vaccination pain in children, rheumatic & osteoarthritic pain, stiffness of joints.
  • Pharmacology includes analgesic, antipyretic properties with weak anti-inflammatory activity. Acts in the CNS by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes involved in prostaglandin synthesis. Para aminophenol derivative with fast acting analgesic and antipyretic properties.
  • Dosage & Administration details for tablets, extended release tablets, syrup/suspension, suppository, paediatric drop, and paracetamol tablet with actizorb technology.
  • Interaction with barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, alcohol, anticonvulsants, and oral steroid contraceptives affecting Fap metabolism.
  • Contraindicated in known hypersensitivity to Paracetamol.
  • Side effects including haematological reactions, pancreatitis, skin rashes, and other allergic reactions.
  • Epidemiological studies show no ill effects in human pregnancy with recommended dosage. Excreted in breast milk in insignificant amount.
  • Precautions advised in severe renal or severe hepatic impairment, non-cirrhotic alcoholic liver disease, and avoiding concurrent use of other Fap-containing products.
  • Overdose effects leading to liver damage, symptoms, and essential treatments including activated charcoal and N-acetylcysteine.
