Description
- The SB-Gabalin 25mg Capsule is indicated for the management of neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, fibromyalgia, and neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injury. It also serves as adjunctive therapy for the treatment of partial-onset seizures in patients 1 month of age and older.

Dosage recommendation
- Maximum recommended dose: 100mg three times a day for neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy and 75 to 150mg two times a day for postherpetic neuralgia.
Administration route

- Pregabalin CR tablet should be administered after an evening meal

- Unlikely to be involved in significant pharmacokinetic drug interactions
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Pregabalin or any of its components
Side effects
- Common side effects in adults include dizziness, somnolence, dry mouth, edema, blurred vision, weight gain, and thinking abnormalities
- In pediatric patients for the treatment of partial onset seizures, increased weight and increased appetite are common side effects
Precautions warnings
- Angioedema, hypersensitivity reactions, and increased risk of suicidal thoughts or behavior may occur. Respiratory depression and dizziness may impair the ability to drive or operate machinery. It should be gradually tapered when discontinuing.
Use in special populations
- Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have not been established for certain indications. Safety and effectiveness of extended-release tablet in pediatric patients have not been established.
Overdose effects
- Signs of overdose include reduced consciousness, depression/anxiety, confusional state, agitation, restlessness, seizures, and heart block. No specific antidote exists.
