Contraindications

Side Effects
- Most commonly reported ADRs include somnolence, dizziness, dry mouth, withdrawal symptoms, elevated triglyceride and cholesterol levels, weight gain, decreased haemoglobin, and extrapyramidal symptoms
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Use during pregnancy only if benefits justify potential risks
- Avoid breastfeeding while taking Quetiapine
Precautions & Warnings
- Risk of suicidal thoughts or clinical worsening in depression
- Caution in patients with known cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disease
- Caution in patients with history of seizures
- Consideration for dose reduction or discontinuation if tardive dyskinesia appears
- Discontinue in case of neuroleptic malignant syndrome
- Caution in patients with cardiovascular disease or family history of QT prolongation
- Risk of neutropenia, hyperglycemia, and diabetes mellitus
