Description
Rabee Gastro-resistant tablets are indicated for the treatment of active duodenal ulcer, active benign gastric ulcer, symptomatic erosive or ulcerative gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD), GERD long-term management, symptomatic treatment of moderate to very severe GERD, Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome, and in combination with antibacterial therapeutic regimens for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori.

Pharmacology
Suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the gastric H+/K+-ATPase at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell.
Dosage

Administration
Take in the morning, before eating. Swallow whole, not to be chewed or crushed.
Interaction
- Potential interaction with pH-dependent absorption compounds
- Co-administration with ketoconazole or itraconazole may decrease antifungal plasma levels
- No interaction with liquid antacids
- Atazanavir absorption is pH-dependent, so co-administration with PPIs should be avoided

- Hypersensitivity to the active substance or excipients
- Contraindicated in pregnancy and during breastfeeding

- Caution in severe hepatic dysfunction and co-administration with atazanavir
- Possible increased risk of gastrointestinal infections
- Severe hypomagnesemia and influence on vitamin B12 absorption
- Association with subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (SCLE) and interference with laboratory tests
