Description

Ranitidine competitively blocks histamine at H2-receptors of the gastric parietal cells, inhibiting gastric acid secretion. Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to Ranitidine. Well tolerated, with rare side effects including altered bowel habit, dizziness, rash, tiredness, reversible confusional states, headache, decreased blood counts, and muscle or joint pain.
