Indications
- Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis
- Perennial Allergic Rhinitis

Pharmacology
- Long-acting non-sedative histamine H1-receptor antagonist
- Platelet activating factor (PAF) antagonist
- Bronchoconstriction prevention
- Inhibition of mast cell degranulation and cytokine release
Dosage & Administration
- Adults and Adolescents: 10 mg once a day
- Children 2-11 years:
- 1 teaspoonful (5 ml) for children weighing 25 kg or more
- 1/2 teaspoonful (2.5 ml) for children weighing 10-25 kg
Interaction
- Medicine:
- Caution with ketoconazole or erythromycin
- Caution with statins, CNS depressants, or alcohol
- Food: Avoid simultaneous intake with grapefruit or grapefruit juice
