Indications
- Treatment of symptoms resulting from the reflux of acid, bile, and pepsin into the esophagus
- Relief from acid regurgitation
- Management of heartburn and indigestion
- Suitable for post-gastric surgery
- Applicable for hiatus hernia and pregnancy-related symptoms
Pharmacology
- Combination of Sodium Alginate and Potassium Bicarbonate
- Formation of gel in the stomach to prevent acid reflux
- Interaction with stomach acid to form carbon dioxide bubbles
- Raft-like effect to prevent acid flow into the esophagus
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage of 1-2 tablets 3-4 times daily
- Children over 12 years can take 1-2 tablets after meals and bedtime
- Suspension can be used by adults and children 12 years and above
- Dosage adjustments for children and elderly
- Caution for patients with hepatic impairment and renal insufficiency
Interaction
- Time interval of 2 hours with other medicinal products
- Special consideration for tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, and iron salts
