Description
- Indicated for onychomycosis of toenail or fingernail
- Effective against Tinea Capitis
- Treatment for fungal infection of the skin
- Inhibits biosynthesis of Ergosterol
Dosage
- For treatment of fingernail onychomycosis: 250 mg once daily for 6 weeks
- For treatment of toenail onychomycosis: 250 mg once daily for 12 weeks
- 1% Spray applied once or twice daily for 1-2 weeks
Interaction
- Inhibitor of the CYP450 2D6 isozyme
- Requires careful monitoring when co-administered with certain drugs
Contraindications
- Contra-indicated in individuals hypersensitive to terbinafine
