Description
An antispasmodic drug that reduces muscle spasm of the intestine, biliary system, bladder, and uterus, used for symptomatic treatment of pain related to functional disorders of the digestive tract, biliary system, as well as spasm and pain in urological and gynecological diseases.
Dosage & Administration
- 2-6 tablets or 3-9 teaspoonfuls syrup daily in divided doses for adults
- 3 ml/kg or 6 mg/kg body weight daily in divided doses for children
- 1 Tiemonium Methylsulphate Injection 3 times daily intravenously or intramuscularly
- 20 mg Tiemonium Methylsulphate suppository two or three times daily rectally
Interaction
Panium tablet should not be used with other drugs without prior consultation with a registered physician to avoid possible drug interaction
Contraindications
- Urethroprostatic disorder involving a risk of urine retention
- Risk of angle closure glaucoma
Side Effects
Risk of hypotension & tachycardia in certain individuals
Pregnancy & Lactation
Animal studies did not reveal teratogenic effects or deformities, prudence recommended for nursing mothers
Precautions & Warnings
- Caution in patients with disorders of the prostate, chronic bronchitis, coronary insufficiency, ambient hyperthermia, renal & hepatic insufficiency
- Risks of visual disturbances can affect driving or use of machines

- Geriatric use: Efficacy and safety maintained with increasing age
