Indications
- Reduces muscle spasm of the intestine
- Reduces muscle spasm of biliary system
- Reduces muscle spasm of bladder
- Reduces muscle spasm of uterus
Pharmacology
- Competitive antagonist of Acetylcholine and Histamine
- Strengthens calcium bond with membrane phospholipids and proteins
- Inhibits intracellular contractile protein of visceral cells
Dosage & Administration
- Usual adult dose is 2-6 tablets or 3-9 teaspoonfuls syrup daily
- Children dose is 3 ml/kg or 6 mg/kg body weight daily
- Injection dose is 1 Tiemonium Methylsulphate Injection 3 times daily
- Suppository dose is 20 mg Tiemonium Methylsulphate suppository two or three times daily
Interaction
- Should not be used with other drugs without prior consultation of a registered physician
Contraindications
- Not to be used in urethroprostatic disorder involving a risk of urine retention
- Contraindicated in patients with a risk of angle closure glaucoma
Side Effects
- Risk of hypotension
- Risk of tachycardia
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Results of animal studies did not reveal teratogenic effects
- No reported deformities with normal use
- Prudence should be exercised for nursing mothers

Precautions & Warnings
