Description
- Anilic is a potent inhibitor of cyclooxygenase enzyme, used for relieving the pain of migraine headache, post-operative pain, and fever. It belongs to the fenamate group and is a potent inhibitor of cyclooxygenase enzyme, inhibiting the synthesis of important inflammatory mediators such as thromboxane (TX) B2 and prostaglandin (PG) E2.

DosageInstructions
- 200 mg when symptoms appear may be repeated once after 1-2 hours for acute migraine attacks. 100-200 mg tid for mild to moderate pain. Dose adjustments may be needed for renal impairment, and it should be taken with food.

- Analgesic for post-operative pain and fever

Interaction
- Increased absorption with Metoclopramide and Magnesium hydroxide
- Decreased absorption with Aluminium hydroxide
- Risk of bleeding with anticoagulants and other NSAIDs
- Decreased antihypertensive response to loop diuretics, B-blockers, and ACE Inhibitors
- Increased plasma concentration of Lithium, Methotrexate, and cardiac glycosides
- Increased risk of nephrotoxicity with ACE inhibitors, Ciclosporin, Tacrolimus, or diuretics

- Active gastrointestinal bleeding
- Active gastrointestinal ulceration
- Severe heart failure
- History of gastrointestinal bleeding related to previous NSAID therapy
- History of gastrointestinal haemorrhage
- History of gastrointestinal perforation related to previous NSAID therapy
- History of recurrent gastrointestinal ulceration
