Description
- Broad spectrum antimycotic
- Anti-inflammatory
- Anti-pruritic
- Anti-allergic
- Composed of Econazole Nitrate and Triamcinolone Acetonide
- Range of action against various pathogens
- Minimal allergenic effect
- Well tolerated by delicate skin
- Adrenal suppression potential
Dosage & Administration
- Applied sparingly to the skin lesion
- Applied no more than 2 times daily
- Not to be applied with occlusive dressing or to large skin areas
- Duration of treatment should not exceed 2 weeks
- Caution for pediatric use due to susceptibility
Interaction
- Metabolized by CYP3A4/2C9
- Interaction with oral anticoagulants, NSAIDs, antidiabetics, amphotericin B, beta-blockers, potassium-depleting diuretics, theophylline, ciclosporin, carbamazepine, phenytoin, barbiturate, rifampicin
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients
- Contraindicated in specific skin conditions such as tuberculous, varicella, herpes simplex or other viral infections of the skin, or fresh vaccination sites, decubitus ulcers, rosacea and rosacea-like dermatitis

Pregnancy & Lactation
- Corticosteroids during pregnancy can cause abnormalities of fetal development
- Avoid use in pregnancy especially in large amounts or for prolonged periods
- Negligible excretion in breast milk
Precautions & Warnings
- External use only
- Discontinue use in case of hypersensitivity or chemical irritation
- Potential systemic effects including adrenal suppression
- Association with skin thinning, atrophy, striae, and purpura
- Increased risk of superinfection or opportunistic infection
- Increased caution required for children's use
- Possible association with visual disturbance
Overdose Effects
- Corticosteroids can be absorbed systemically
- Accidental ingestion should be treated symptomatically
- Accidental eye exposure should be washed with water and seek medical attention if symptoms persist
