Indications

Description
Benzimidazole anthelmintic
Pharmacology
- Broad spectrum anthelmintic
- Vermicidal, ovicidal, and larvicidal activities
- Blocks glucose uptake in susceptible helminths
Dosage & Administration
- 400 mg single dose for various worm infections in adults & children over 2 years
- 400 mg daily for 3 days in strongyloidiasis or taeniasis

No reported pharmacodynamic or pharmacokinetic interactions
Contraindications
- Not to be used in neonates
- Avoid in pregnant women and lactating mothers
- No general reduction in dosage for children
