Description
- This product is indicated for productive cough, acute and chronic inflammatory disorders of upper and lower respiratory tracts associated with viscid mucus, inflammatory disease of rhinopharyngeal tract, asthma with thick expectoration, bronchiectasis, chronic pneumonia, etc. It improves sputum rheology, stimulates production of phospholipids, reduces bronchial hyperactivity, and has anti-inflammatory properties. The average daily dosage varies based on age and the formulation. It should not be taken simultaneously with antitussives (e.g. Codeine). Contraindicated in known hypersensitivity to Ambroxol or Bromhexine. Gastrointestinal side effects like epigastric pain and allergic responses may occur occasionally. Safety during pregnancy and lactation has not been fully established. Precautions should be taken to use it cautiously in patients with gastric and duodenal ulceration or convulsive disorders, as well as in patients with hepatic and renal insufficiency. It belongs to the therapeutic class of cough expectorants & mucolytics. The product should be stored in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, protected from direct light exposure, and kept out of the reach of children.
