Indications

Pharmacology
- Acid-stable
- Orally absorbed
- High concentration in phagocytes
- High lipid solubility
- Active against gram-positive microorganisms
- Active against gram-negative microorganisms
- Active against Chlamydia trachomatis
- Active against Mycoplasma pneumoniae
Dosage
- 500 mg once daily for 3 days (adult)
- 500 mg once on day 1, then 250 mg once on days 2-5 (adult)
- 10 mg/kg body weight once daily for 3 days (children)
- 500 mg (2½ teaspoonfuls) once daily for 7-10 days in typhoid fever
Administration
- Reconstitution procedure of suspension
- Shake the bottle well to loosen the powder
- Add boiled and cooled water to the water mark of the bottle label
- Shake until powder is completely mixed with water
- Take at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal
