Interactions

  • Not to be combined with other β-blocking agents
  • Monitor closely when coadministered with catecholamine-depleting drugs
  • Use with care when concurrent use of centrally active antihypertensive agents, antiarrhythmic agents, or calcium channel blockers

  • Cardiogenic shock

  • Second or third degree A-V block
  • Right ventricular failure secondary to pulmonary hypertension

  • Unresponsive to usual doses of epinephrine
