Indications
- Treatment of Pharyngitis/Tonsillitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes

Contraindications

Side Effects
- Adverse effects are infrequent and generally mild

- Prolonged use may result in the overgrowth of non susceptible organisms
Pregnancy & Lactation
- US FDA pregnancy category B
- No adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women
- Excretion in human milk
- Caution should be exercised when administered to a nursing woman
Precautions & Warnings
- Caution with concurrent treatment with potent diuretics
- Caution with a history of colitis
- Cephalosporin antibiotics may be safely given to patients hypersensitive to penicillin
