Indications

  • Upper respiratory tract infections

Pharmacology

  • Broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic
  • Active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms
  • Inhibition of cell wall cross-linking
  • Lysis of bacteria due to osmotic pressure

  • Dosage based on infection site and severity

Interaction

  • Potential risk of kidney damage with concomitant use of nephrotoxic drugs
