Description

Lidocef is a broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic used to treat infections caused by susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

Indications

  • Treatment of upper respiratory tract infections

  • Treatment of urinary tract infections
  • Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections

Pharmacology

  • Semisynthetic broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic
  • Inhibits cross-linking process of bacterial cell wall

Dosage and administration

Interaction

  • Increased risk of kidney damage with concomitant use of nephrotoxic drugs
