Indications
- Treatment of psoriatic arthritis
- Treatment of plaque psoriasis
Pharmacology
- Inhibitor of type-4 cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase (PDE-4)
- Increases intracellular levels of cAMP
- Inhibits production of proinflammatory mediators
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended initial dosage titration
- Maintenance dosage of 30 mg twice daily
- Can be administered without regard to meals
- Dosage adjustment in patients with severe renal impairment
Interaction
- Co-administration with strong cytochrome P450 enzyme inducer Rifampin
- Reduction of systemic exposure of Apremilast

- Known hypersensitivity to Apremilast or any excipients
