Description
Anapril is indicated for essential hypertension, renovascular hypertension, symptomatic heart failure, congestive heart failure, prevention of coronary ischaemic events, angina, diabetic nephropathy, Raynaud's disease. It inhibits Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) and belongs to the therapeutic class of ACE inhibitors. The dosage varies for different indications and special populations. It has interactions and contraindications with specific medications and medical conditions. Side effects, precautions, pregnancy contraindication, and overdose effects are also noted.
