Description
- Indications: Essential for healthy bones, teeth, and preventing rickets, osteomalacia, and osteoporosis. Also important for pregnancy and immunity boost.
- Pharmacology: Calcitriol exerts its effect through Vitamin D receptors and is essential for calcium absorption. Fat soluble with a half-life of 50 days. Metabolized to 25-hydroxy Vitamin D3 and 1,25-dihydroxy Vitamin D3.
