Interaction
Enhances the action of other neuromuscular blocking agents, antagonism with erythromycin
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients sensitive to clindamycin or any of the ingredients

Pregnancy and Lactation
- Pregnancy Category B
- Crosses the placenta
- Reported to appear in breast milk
- Use in pregnancy only if clearly needed
- Not recommended for nursing mothers if not clearly needed
Precautions and Warnings
Prescribed with caution in individuals with a history of gastrointestinal disease, particularly colitis
Use in Special Populations
- Use in newborns and infants
- Appropriate monitoring of organ system functions desirable for newborns and infants
Overdose Effects
- Rare overdosage with orally administered Clindacin
- Adverse reactions similar to normal doses can be expected
- Haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis are not effective in removing Clindacin from the serum
- Treatment with simple gastric lavage for overdosage
