Indications

• Treatment of Hepatic Encephalopathy

• Treatment of Hyperammonemia due to Acute and Chronic Hepatitis

Pharmacology

• Stable combination of L-Ornithine and L-Aspartate
• Conversion of toxic ammonia into non-toxic urea
• Detoxification support for the liver
• Lowering of elevated ammonia levels in blood
• Generation of energy (ATP) for liver cell regeneration

Dosage

• Sachet: 1-2 sachets granules dissolved in fluid
• Orally taken 3 times a day during or after meals
• Injection (Infusion Concentrate): Up to 20 gm (4 ampoules daily)
• Up to 8 ampoules within 24 hours in severe conditions

Administration

• Addition to conventional intravenous fluids
• Normal dilution rate of 1 ampoule per 100 ml of I.V. fluid
• Infusion rate of 5 gm/h at maximum
